Dafaults setting for SAS/C and Devpac

Online Status

It would be nice if Codecraft had default setting for SAS/C and Devpac so you could use it out’ of the box.

Which settings are you thinking about ?

I’m thinking about using Codecraft like it was Devpac editor or SAS/C editor out of the box. You start it you create a project being C or ASM and it is by default using the installed version of Devpac and SAS/C so I could build and debug without the need to set the different path of those tools…

Well you can make your own templates. I do get your wish but not sure how we can make something without making assumptions

You could ask the user during first launch ?

For SAS/C, there is no need to ask the user where it is, as the SC: assign will indicate the location. I'm not sure if there is a similar assign for DevPac, as I just use the SAS/C assembler for the rare cases I need an assembler.

Traditionally DevPac is DEVPAC: but that is not a guarantee or requirement.

The thing is I might want to have some projects with one compiler and another project with another. Right now all you have to do is write the name of the make command. No other things are needed to use one or the other. I guess if the make tool is not in the path, but I think that is unlikely. I think making your own template is the fastest, there you can type in the make tool you want.

Sure we could make some other things but those too would need to be configured
