HDToolBox GUI issue with modern drives
I heard that PartitionEdit is on its way with AmigaOS 3.3 and I wanted to share a GUI issue I ran into this evening with HDToolBox and see if maybe this was considered or resolved by PartitionEdit ?
This evening, I installed a 960GB SATA M.2 server SSD into a Dicke Olga in an Amiga 2000.
Since I multi-boot,I tend to have quite a few small boot partitions; one for each OS version.
The problem I ran into was that with a 960GB drive, even 1000MB partitions are less than a pixel wide on HDToolBox's partition selection bar.
Yes, I can still change between selected partitions by using the lift:right cursor keys, but it's still visually 'weird' not being able to see or select a 1GB partition.
I'm hopeful that PartitionEdit has done away with the partition selection bar, or uses a bar that can zoom/scroll, etc..
Obviously .. this is really a 'me problem' because I'm attaching modern storage to a retro computer.
Though ... with AmigaOS 3.3 being a 2026 release .. it would be lovely if its GUI thoughtfully supported larger storage :)
